Overview

The MagicRAM Turbo SATA MicroFlash Disk is a storage device based on flash memory technology, which emulates an ordinary magnetic hard disk drive. It provides an all in one module solution for solid-state flash storage.

With flash storage technology catching up to traditional disc platter storage devices and motherboard designs being more compact than ever, most IDE connectors have been replaced by the smaller and faster SATA interfaces. At the same time, available spaces for device(s) have been reduced dramatically and hence, SATA MicroFlash was developed. SATA interface takes up less space and provide faster transfer rate (up to 100MB/sec) than IDE connectors and maximum SATA MicroFlash capacities will likely reach 128GB in 2007.

The application of SATA technology and specially designed clip-on connector on SATA MicroFlash provide stability and prevent connectors detaching unexpectedly. 

Turbo SATA MicroFlash operates efficiently in harsh environments and under rugged usage. It is resistant to shock and vibration, thus making it the optimal solution for industrial, transportation, aerospace and military applications. 

SATA MicroFlash features write protect switch and it is available in capacities from 32MB to 8GB.
