Overview

MagicRAM's SCSI PC Card (PCMCIA) reader/writer is a single slot external drive designed for use in Macintosh or PC desktop computers. The SCSI PC Card reader/writer has been engineered with the needs of the digital photographer as a priority. When used in a typical digital photography application, the use of a PC Card reader to transfer images from a full "digital film" card is at least 100 times faster than using the built-in serial connection found on most digital cameras.

 Also, by using a separate reader, the camera is not required to be tethered to the computer during image transfer. In other applications the reader/writer can be used as a very convenient method of transferring large data files from a notebook or handheld PC to a desktop computer.

Measuring only 3.3" W x 5.0" L x 1.2" H, this new device has a single Type III card slot (10.5mm) compatible with all ATA storage devices and SRAM cards. In addition, CompactFlash™, IBM MicroDrive, SmartMedia™ and MemoryStick™ can be used with available low cost adapters.
